My Death Magnetic Picks
Well, so far from what I’ve hear of the album, Metallica hasn’t done St. Anger pt. II. That said, this isn’t their best work ever. If all you’ve heard of the new album is that horrible single, you would assume that this cd sucks a lot. Well, that poor choice of a single seems to be normal for albums produced by Rick Rubin.
I’ve enjoyed most of the songs from Death Magnetic, except for “The Day that Never Comes.”
After a a few listens, I’m liking:
- “The End of the Line”
- “Broken, Beat & Scarred”
- “My Apocalypse”

Death Magnetic leaked!
According to an article on the 93X website, Metallica’s new cd has been leaked onto the internet. The culprit, is apparently a store in France that sold copies of the cd early. That by itself isn’t exactly big news. However, when the band’s drummer, Lar Ulrich, was asked about it he replied, “It’s 2008 and it’s part of how it is, so we’re fine. We’re happy.”
Very odd to hear from the guy that lead the way in bringing down Napster. Anyway, the cd is out there to get. I’m not saying you should download it, but it is out there.
That said, from what I heard, the only really bad song is their single “The Day That Never Comes.” So, if you were looking forward to the album, rest assured that their single isn’t a good representation of the album.
